The Ribera del Duero does not extend all the way along the banks of the River Duero (as its name suggests). Wines come from a specific area where nature is unique and the land is very special.

The lands included in the Ribera del Duero Designation are located on Spain’s northern plateau. Four of the provinces of Castilla y León come together in the Ribera del Duero: Burgos, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid.
Grapes: The “Tempranillo” also known as “Tinta del Pais”and “Tinto Fino” is the main variety, giving colour, aroma and body to the wines of RIBERA DEL DUERO, but the are more grapes like Malbec, Garnacha Tinta, Albillo or Cabernet and Merlot.
