Empordà is a landscape of contrasts, situated in the far north east of Catalonia.
The Pyrenees, to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea, to the south, form natural boundaries. The breathtaking Costa Brava setting makes Empordà a truly unique place, linking the coast to the mountains, influenced by the famous northerly Tramontane wind.
D.O. Empordà has a great variety of wines. The red wines are high quality, full-bodied, well-structured and harmonious, sometimes with added hues thanks to careful aging. Fresh and tasty white wines, often with native varieties, but also with other monovarietales of remarkable quality. Rosé wines, characterized by a well-defined cherry color, a great personality and a delicate aroma, fresh and of moderate alcoholic strength.
